Prefestka road/commuter bike

Prefestka road bike

2015-03-18: Bike is for sale. Shoot me an email if you are interested.

This beautiful short frame was restored by guys at Urbanvelo unlimited as a tribute to Mr. Hrubý, who built it in the nineties and now creates bikes at festka.com. Thus the name Prefestka. The bike looked little bit different when I bought it. I have removed the large 52t chainring and front derailleur together with a vintage wheels that got trashed after just few days of riding in Bratislava. New wheels are paired with a 12-32t MTB cassette which gives me nice gear ratio of 1.31 - 3.5.

    Hi Pete
Do you experience any trouble with the chain jumping off the front ring? I’m in the process of doing a similar conversion.
    Cheers
    Julian

      Hi Julian,

yes, sometimes it happens, but not too often (maybe once a month), usually when jumping or riding over some very rough stuff.
